The Pioneer Woman Just Shared This Touching College Moment With Her Son

In case you missed the major life event, The Pioneer Woman's (neé Ree Drummond's) son Bryce is at college (via The Pioneer Woman). Not only is he starting his freshman year at the University of North Texas playing football — but he graduated high school a semester early to do it (via The Pioneer Woman). Dropping Bryce off at college back in January 2021 was a whole family affair. Drummond's daughter Alex, who recently tied the knot with Mauricio Scott, lives in Texas and helped stock Bryce's fridge with bottled water and string cheese. Also, because you're dying to know, the entire Drummond family ate enchiladas and burritos for dinner the day they dropped him off because. As Mama Drummond posted to Instagram — that's "what you do in Texas."

Fast forward to August? Ree Drummond just got back from another trip to Texas where she helped her son stock the most important room in the house ... his kitchen, of course!

This is how The Pioneer Woman stocked Bryce's college ktichen

Turns out, The Pioneer Woman does kitchen-stocking pretty much like the rest of us do. "2 trips 2 hours apart to 2 different Walmart locations plus 2 hours of organizing and 2 iced coffees was all it took to get Bryce's kitchen all set up and stocked yesterday," Drummond shared with her followers on The Gram. "(Oh, and a 500 mile drive to Texas and back.) I guess it's that important to me for my child to be able to make an egg." The home cooking queen didn't share her shopping list with us, but it sounds like she went for a little more than just string cheese!

The Pioneer Woman and Walmart — as you well know– go way back. In July, for example, she released a bedding collection at the discount chain (via Southern Living), which piggybacks off of her clothing collection (via Today), which piggybacks off of her seasoning collection (via Delish), which piggybacks off of her bakeware collection (via Yahoo! Life). So while we may not know exactly what Drummond selected to stock Bryce's kitchen ... we have a pretty good idea.
