Here's What Khloe Kardashian Really Adds To Her Water

The Kardashians don't play around when it comes to hydration, according to Eat This, Not That. No one can deny that drinking plenty of water every day comes with health benefits, including improved digestion, weight loss, and an increased power to focus.

But at the same time, plain water isn't always the most appealing beverage, and for a lot of us, it's hard to continually sip on without running to the bathroom every 30 minutes, especially when you're at a desk or constantly on the go. Mayo Clinic suggests that the average man should consume 15.5 cups of water a day and that the average woman should drink 11.5 cups.

This may surprise you, as the standard that you normally hear is 8 cups. While this amount is sometimes enough, your water needs also fluctuate depending on how much you exercise, the external temperature of your environment, and any other health conditions you might have. And as we know, the Kardashians don't take their exercise routines lightly either.

Khloe Kardashian's water dream combination

Khloe Kardashian has a way to make her water intake a bit more enjoyable, according to Eat This, Not That. She shared to her followers that she adds "fresh ginger, fresh mint leaves, cucumber, lemon, and oranges" to her glass of water. She added in an Instagram story that on that particular day, she also threw in a few slices of grapefruit.

Not only do these additives give the water a natural boost of flavor, they can also make hydrating even healthier. Ginger can ease muscles after a workout, improve circulation, and fight infections. Likewise, citrus fruits like lemon, oranges, and grapefruit are useful to add into water as they have great benefits for your heart and immune system (via WebMD).

This liquid mix has helped the television personality reach her hydration goal of drinking one gallon of water a day. As Khloe says, "Happy hydrating!"
