What Tyra Banks Really Eats In A Day
Aside from being the host of "America's Next Top Model," Tyra Banks is quite the foodie. In fact, just months ago, she launched SMiZE ice cream. And, during a recent episode of Harper's Bazaar's #FoodDiaries series, she opened up about what a typical day of eating looks like for her.
As revealed in the episode, Banks is a huge fan of strong-flavored coffee, typically soaked in vanilla or caramel with nothing added. She enjoys her morning cup of coffee with a bagel, usually plain or onion, moated with cream cheese in the middle. Banks then proceeds to heat the bagel up in a microwave for 20 seconds, before taking it out and enjoying it once it cools a bit. On work days, Banks describes how busy she usually is, and as a result, she snacks a lot. Her favorite snacks include corn chips, sesame bars, licorice, bean chips, and cauliflower puffs.
For dinner, Banks says her favorite thing to do is to order from a delivery app. What she does next is a bit unconventional — she selects two restaurants that make the same cuisine. She then orders the same dishes at both, and when the deliveries arrive, compares them with her family. Her logic for this is to see which restaurant is truly the better of the two, therefore ensuring she knows the better place to order next time.
Tyra Banks has an 'interesting' relationship with food
Banks described her relationship with food as "very interesting" and labeled it as "one of the most important things in my life." As mentioned before, Banks enjoys trying different restaurants and she loves finding food festivals. In her interview with Harper's Bazaar, it is obvious how passionate Banks is about food. Lots of viewers picked up on this in the comments section and applauded the television personality for being so real in the interview. One user, with the username MR Milosz, wrote, "I LOOOOOOOOVE that this wasn't another super healthy, bougie one! Go Tyra! More of these from other celebrities of color please!"
Banks also admitted that she loves cooking and takes pride in her Sriracha Maple Bacon Jerky Candied Yum, which she learned to perfect at the Culinary Institute of America near Napa, California. This treat is the perfect way to cap the day.
