Why Brach's Turkey Dinner Candy Corn Might Taste Different This Year
While the rest of the world associates fall-themed foods with pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin pies, and quite frankly, all-things-pumpkin, a certain candy maker has a surprise in store for candy corn lovers. Ferrara, the American candy company that owns Nerds and Laffy Taffy, and several other candies that you see in supermarkets, has announced its 2021 fall line-up of candies (via Brand Eating).
Of all the Halloween-themed candies that they are releasing this year, Brach's will come back with its Thanksgiving flavored candy corn that first made its debut in 2020. The candy corn bag encapsulates the flavors of a full course Thanksgiving feast but in a candy corn form.
Last year's Thanksgiving candy corn included candy corn in flavors of a roasted turkey, as well as the sides that come with it — green beans, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and glazed carrots — along with a sweet potato pie for dessert. The 2021 Thanksgiving dinner candy corn, however, is a tad different from last year's. While green beans, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and roasted turkey are back in the bag, the glazed carrots and sweet potato pie will be replaced by apple pie and coffee, so the mixed bag of candy corn is going to taste slightly different from last year's.
As per Best Products, Brach's Turkey Dinner + Apple Pie & Coffee Candy Corn is already available at Walgreens in 12-ounce bags.
Ferrara's fall 2021 line-up has lots of spooky sweet treats
If the Turkey Dinner + Apple Pie & Coffee Candy Corn is not your cup of tea, Brach's also has several Halloween-themed candy corn flavors. According to their website, you will be able to spot Classic and Caramel Candy Corn no doubt, but also chocolate flavored Harvest Corn, soft mellowcrèmes in the shapes of pumpkins, and mixed bags of all three at grocery stores. There are also Caramel Apple Mellowcrèmes and Sour Brite Candy Corn.
Brand Eating also reports that Brach's will have a Minion-themed candy corn. The bag will include banana, vanilla, and blue raspberry flavors.
Apart from Brach's, Nerds too will have Halloween-themed candy corn with hard shells and soft insides in fruity flavors of strawberry, orange, raspberry, grape, cherry, and more. If you find yourself bored of all the candy corn that floods the confectionary aisles come Halloween, Nerd's has gummy clusters that are both sweet and tangy, gummy and crunchy at the same time.
