Trader Joe's Shoppers Can't Get Enough Of This Spicy Bar Snack Mix

There was a time when people could passionately argue about whether Gardetto's or Chex Mix was the superior snack mix. Well, Friends, Trader Joe's has entered the, well, mix. The grocery chain, famous for its seasonal releases that leave fans pining all year for the return of their favorite treats, is at it again, this time with a returning product that may even rival the heavyweights of the snack mix world.

As Instagram user @traderjoesobsessed has diligently reported, the popular Snack Bar Mixes are back for 2021. According to Trader Joe's website, there are two flavors: "Step Up to the Snack Bar Mix" and its fiery companion, "Stepping It Up Spicy Snack Bar Mix." The snack mixes retail for $4.99 per can, but, more importantly, @traderjoeobsessed rates them a 10 out of 10. Fans were eager to weigh in with their feelings on the product, along with which tasty flavor they prefer.

Trader Joe's fans love these Snack Bar Mixes

Shoppers were certainly glad to hear Trader Joe's Snack Bar Mixes were back, and they sounded eager to grab some in short order. On Instagram user @traderjoesobsessed's post, one follower boasted their household had already secured a pair. "Yay! We bought these yesterday! I bought the regular for myself and the spicy for my husband," wrote @_juli_anne_. So, what's the difference between the two mixes?

According to Trader Joe's website, the Step Up to the Snack Bar Mix contains "pub snack favorites" including honey mustard pretzel pieces, chili lemon corn sticks, honey roasted peanuts, and the chain's Cheddar Rocket Crackers. As for the Stepping It Up Spicy Snack Bar Mix, the product description explains this version "injects a spicy spin to the original's sweet-savory synthesis," and includes "sweet jalapeño pretzel pieces, spicy cheese corn sticks, spiced chile almonds, and crispy lemon corn nuggets." Both had their share of fans, but the spicy kind might have had the edge.

User @prettyintarget wrote, "I'm a spicy girl but actually prefer the regular!" Instagram user @lasoyp landed on the hotter side of the fence: "Spicy! Took these for granted last year. Must stock up!" Multiple commenters preferred to spice things up, with one declaring, "Yay spicy all the way." Whether you're on team regular or team spicy, it's probably safe to say you can pair a can of either with some Jingle Jangle, and you'll be all set for a holiday soiree.
