Aldi Fans Are Pumped For These Gluten-Free Holiday Donuts

"If you were wondering if today is a holiday somewhere, yes, it is! It always is," according to the Holiday Calendar website, which lists no less than a dozen holidays for December 2, including officially acknowledged holidays World AIDS Day and Day 3 of Hanukkah, as well as some "unofficials," including "National Eat A Red Apple Day" and "Day With(out) Art Day." So, it stands to reason there would be a holiday set aside just for donut enthusiasts. It's called National Donut Day, and it's a perfect excuse for donut aficionados to enjoy a free donut or two. There's just one problem, however, and that is that from what we have seen, National Donut Day has never put much effort into satisfying the donut cravings of those who follow a gluten-free diet.

But things are looking up for gluten-free donut fans, at least at Aldi. As we have learned from Aldi superfan Instagram accounts, Adventures in Aldi and Your Aldi BFF, Aldi is now selling gluten-free donuts by the brand Live G Free, and in holiday-inspired flavors, no less. Is it any wonder Aldi fans are pumped for these gluten free holiday donuts?

Aldi is taking good care of its gluten-free donut fans

"Gluten free donuts!!!" proclaims Adventures in Aldi on Instagram, along with a photo of three boxes of Live G Free brand's frozen gluten-free holiday donuts, which come in cranberry, gingerbread, and pumpkin flavors. The post also includes the most important information of all: "You can find these bad boys in the Aldi finds freezer section right now," Adventures in Aldi clarifies for its 72.6 thousand followers. And those followers are not only pumped for themselves but also for their (presumably) gluten-free friends, as evidenced by the multiple comments that appear to simply be Aldi fans tagging said friends to notify them of this sweet news.

Similarly, Your Aldi BFF on Instagram heralded the arrival of these gluten-free miracles with a lighthearted admonishment of the discount grocer for putting temptation right in their gluten-free path: "Dear @aldiusa, I can't stop buying all the sweets and your [sic] not helping." Followers of "Your Aldi BFF" are all over this announcement as well, commenting with exclamations such as "OMG SIGN ME UP!!" and the very succinct but highly effective, "Need" with a heart-eyes emoji. But what Your Aldi BFF's followers seem particularly pumped for is the pumpkin flavor. "I need the pumpkin!!" wrote one enthused Aldi fan. "Had the pumpkin ones, omg, with a glass of cold milk," wrote another.
