The island-inspired chain has more than 1,000 locations across the country, and is famous for its extensive offering of fruity smoothies. Now, just in time for the holidays, Tropical Smoothie Cafe has released a couple of new seasonal drinks — and they all feature a uniquely festive flavor. Here's what you need to know about the new Christmas-inspired smoothies.
There are two new cranberry holiday smoothies
While you might think of summer as smoothie season, you can enjoy the frozen drinks year round at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. To make your sip more seasonally appropriate, the national chain has just introduced two new holiday smoothies. The festive ingredient starring in both of them? Cranberry. Right now, you can order both the Very Berry Cranberry Smoothie and the Cranberry Truffle Smoothie at Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations all across the U.S (via PR Newswire). The Very Berry Cranberry Smoothie is made with cranberries and strawberries and comes with an edible strawberry straw for extra fruity flavor. For a little more indulgence, the Cranberry Truffle Smoothie includes both berries plus creamy nonfat yogurt and decadent white chocolate. It also features the same strawberry straw.
Many Tropical Smoothie Cafe fans are excited about the return of the Christmas-themed drinks. "The Cranberry Truffle was nothing short of outstanding," one reviewer said on Tripadvisor. "I was surprised it was not officially on the menu. I wish I could have one right now!" The new smoothies will only be available through the rest of the holiday season, or while supplies last.
