TikTok Is In Shambles Over The New Chick-Fil-A Burger

Correction 8/23/22: This article has been updated to reflect that the burgers in question are being sold by Little Blue Menu, a delivery-only restaurant owned by Chick-fil-A.

If you were told to run out to a fast-food restaurant and grab a cheeseburger, chances are you'd go to McDonald's or Burger King, rather than Chick-fil-A. While Chick-fil-A has indeed earned its place among the chicken giants of the day, one wouldn't expect to go up to the counter and ask for a cheeseburger and a side of waffle fries — until now, that is.

Per Foodbeast, the delivery-only Little Blue Menu in downtown Nashville serves burgers, steaks, and even roasted cauliflower alongside classic Chick-fil-A favorites. The virtual restaurant has also offered other chicken items outside the standard Chick-fil-A menu, including wings. And while this may seem like a sharp deviation from the norm, burgers were a small but vital part of the restaurant's history.

The chain isn't only known for its chicken menu items

Select Chick-fil-A locations were once known as Dwarf Houses, which were the names of the original restaurants founder Truett Cathy opened in 1946 before shifting to focus on chicken. As a way to remember Cathy and the original restaurants that started it all, Chick-fil-A allows these restaurants to operate in the same style that the Dwarf House restaurants did, which includes serving hamburgers. The Dwarf House restaurants also serve steaks, chicken and waffles, and something called a "Hot Brown," which is a casserole of chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, cheese, and bacon, per Spoon University.

Little Blue Menu, meanwhile, is only in downtown Nashville and delivers a variety of unexpected menu items alongside classic Chick-fil-A foods. But if Chick-fil-A supposedly has some of the best chicken sandwiches around, how good are the Little Blue Menu burgers? One TikTok reviewer decided to find out with a good, old-fashioned taste test.

Chick-fil-A's burgers seem to be pretty good

"Chick-fil-A might have just did something."

These were the words spoken by TikTok user Ryan Mabry as he sat in his car, straightening the tie of his sleek blue suede suit, enjoying a meal from Nashville's Little Blue Menu. In his video, Mabry reviewed the "Cheese on Cheese" burger, which seemed to include cheese, grilled onions, and pickles. Mabry was immediately impressed by the burger, noting its size and how juicy it looked. Upon eating it, Mabry's thoughts on the burger continued to be of praise, rating it as a "top two fast-food burger" that was "up there with In-N-Out" (but below Shake Shack) and that the burger was a 10 out of 10. Some commenters, however, argued that while the burger was probably very good, Mabry was giving it a bit too much credit.

"Everyone was on board until he said 'up there with In-N-Out' then we knew it was an L take," said one viewer. "This man said 'up there with in n out' lmaoo his opinion is no longer credible," joked another user, adding, "The door sir."

If you're interested in ordering from the Chick-fil-A-owned Little Blue Menu, you'll find chicken wings, several burger options, and side dishes such as broccolini and baby carrots. There are even different desserts from the standard Chick-fil-A offerings, including a lemon pie bar and chocolate toffee cookies.
