Reddit Is Divided Over Which Chick-Fil-A Meal To Take Off The Menu

We all know Chick-fil-A employees can be some of the nicest fast food workers customers have interacted with. Known for their good manners and ending every visit with "My pleasure," Chick-fil-A employees have a knack for kindness and have even sprung into action to save lives (via Yahoo News). However, they are still human, and sometimes they get tired of their jobs just like everybody else. For instance, there are food items they hate to bag like soups and salad. Sometimes, the Chick-fil-A menu can also feel a bit too overwhelming. That's why some workers took to social media to debate ways to simplify the menu and their jobs.

Chick-fil-A employees hopped on Reddit to discuss what they think needs to be taken off the menu. Their argument was based entirely on their disdain for preparing the products for the customer. For the most part, the list consists of small irrelevant items customers might not miss, but some of the Chick-fil-A classics also faced the chopping block. Although the conversation doesn't have any real leverage, it's interesting to see what items are least liked by employees enough for them to want them taken off the menu.

Some Chick-fil-A menu items create chaos

In the Reddit post, a Chick-fil-A employee asked front-of-house and back-of-house workers what item they would permanently remove from the menu. For the most part, both groups' opinions were divided. The back-of-house employees disliked burritos and soup, with one Redditor writing, "I pick burritos just because our tortillas rip so easily when you try to roll them." Meanwhile, front-of-house employees wished coffee and lemonade would be cut. The creator of the post wrote, "I work mornings, and nothing is more annoying than a screen full of coffees. Dealing with making sure cream and sugar numbers are right."

However, if there is one item both groups agreed upon, it's taking the grilled club off the menu. One Redditor explained why, writing, "It's the only deluxe sandwich without a 'default' cheese. Regular American, spicy pepper jack. So it's annoying having to ask guests 'what type of cheese?'" All in all these items are small and not always the most popular, but they can be difficult to make all the same.

Although these items annoy some employees, Chick-fil-A has no intentions of removing them from the menu. In fact, instead of taking items away, they are adding new menu items like the grilled spicy chicken sandwich (via USA Today) and the Autumn Spice Milkshake this fall.
