5-Ingredient TikTok Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

TikTok is an excellent platform to share many things, including recipes. Users often come up with viral recipes that spread like wildfire across the platform and generate buzz, just like this five-ingredient cinnamon roll recipe. The great part about this breakfast classic is that it begins with a can of regular cinnamon rolls you purchase at the store, but you can jazz them up to irresistibly rich, bakery-quality rolls.

Recipe developer Feta Topalu put her own spin on the five-ingredient TikTok cinnamon rolls recipe that will change how you make these sweet treats. "What I love most about this cinnamon roll recipe is that it requires a few simple ingredients, making the prep quick and easy. The results are exceptional," Topalu raves. "This 5 ingredient cinnamon roll recipe uses pre-made cinnamon rolls in a can as a shortcut. By adding a few additional ingredients, it makes the cinnamon rolls more fluffy, buttery, and simply amazing."

Gather the ingredients for these 5-ingredient TikTok Cinnamon Rolls

As you can tell from the title, you will only need five ingredients to make these cinnamon rolls. Just pick up two cans of Pillsbury Grands! Cinnamon rolls, heavy cream, butter, ground cinnamon, and brown sugar. "To make these cinnamon rolls, it's important to pick up the jumbo cans of Pillsbury Grands! Cinnamon Rolls," Topalu notes.

Preheat the oven and prep the cinnamon rolls

Since you will need an oven to make the cinnamon rolls, preheat yours to 350 F. Break open the cinnamon roll tubes and set the cream cheese icing to the side. You will need it later, so make sure you don't throw it away. Then, grab a baking dish that is safe to put in the oven and arrange the cinnamon rolls in it. There is no particular order you need to arrange the rolls in, just make sure that none overlap.

Add heavy cream to the cinnamon rolls

The first thing you need to add to the cinnamon rolls is heavy cream, which also happens to be the secret ingredient. "These famous, viral TikTok cinnamon rolls have a special ingredient, and it's this, heavy cream," Topalu raves. "When the rolls bake in the oven, they absorb all the heavy cream and are so incredibly fluffy and soft."

Whisk up a cinnamon topping

What cinnamon rolls are complete without cinnamon? To make the rest of the topping, take out a large bowl and add the melted butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Use a whisk to mix everything together well, and then pour the mixture over the cinnamon rolls. This extra layer of cinnamon adds so much depth and flavor to the rolls.

Bake the cinnamon rolls

Cover the baking dish with foil and pop it into the preheated oven. Set the timer for 40-45 minutes to cook. Towards the end of the cooking time, you can check to see if the rolls absorb the heavy cream and they turn a light golden brown color as that's another indicator that they are done.

Let cool and add icing

After removing the cinnamon rolls from the oven, let them cool for 10 minutes. Then, add the cream cheese icing that came with the rolls on top. Use a knife to spread the icing evenly over the cinnamon rolls, and spoon the extra icing from the bottom of the baking dish over the rolls before serving.

Serve and enjoy

If you are craving sweets, these cinnamon rolls make a great main event for breakfast. You could also serve them as a side addition if you want something sweet and savory, like bacon and eggs, as well. Really, you can't go wrong with any way you want to serve these incredibly moist, sweet, and delicious treats.

"Store any leftover cinnamon rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or room temperature for two days," Topalu notes.
