Brooke Shields Simply Wants Back On Tom Cruise's Christmas Cake List

Apart from his religion, unmatched work ethic, and love life, people love to talk about Tom Cruise's famous holiday cake, a.k.a. the "Tom Cruise cake." As the jingle bell tolls in December, Cruise is known to send out special white chocolate coconut bundt cakes to a bunch of people who he has worked with in the past.

To be on the coveted list of cake recipients must be quite the flex, and it's something that stars, like Tom Hanks, cherish. In fact, Hanks would have it as a part of his last final meal. "This cake is so great you can really only have it once a year," he told chef Josh Scherer during an episode of Last Meals. "It's the best coconut cake I've ever had in my life," Kirsten Dunst raved on The Graham Norton Show. No wonder Brooke Shields wants a slice!

For a decade, Shields received bundt cakes from her "Endless Love" co-star during the holidays, but lately, there has been no delivery. During an interview with People, Shields said she doesn't know why she was removed from Cruise's cake list, but she wants to receive the holiday gift again. "I want to get back on that cake list. It's the best cake. Tom, I need to be back on the cake list," she said.

One doesn't need to be on Tom Cruise's cake list to eat it

One might wonder if Tom Cruise stopped sending Brooke Shields his famous holiday cake because of their 2005 fallout after he criticized her for using anti-depressants for postpartum depression and she subsequently slammed him in a The New York Times op-ed. They seemed to have moved past the feud since Cruise apologized to her for his comments. Looking back, Shields thinks the fallout was "ridiculous," as she mentioned in her documentary "Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields," per Variety

Cruise may or may not send a cake to Shields this Christmas, but that doesn't mean she can't get her hands on them. The coconutty dessert is baked by California-based Doan's Bakery and is available to order online on Goldbelly for around $126.

The stars who tried the cake rave about its decadence, but according to James Corden, Cruise himself has never had it. "I said to him once, this cake is the most extraordinary cake I've ever eaten in my life and he went, 'That's what everybody says!'" he said on the "Heart Breakfast" radio show.
