Valerie Bertinelli's Touching Instagram Tribute To Betty White

America's beloved golden girl Betty White passed away on Friday just before the world welcomed 2022, and weeks shy of her 100th birthday — and the new year has been filled with adorations and tributes from celebrities and fans alike that have poured in for the Hollywood sweetheart. According to CNN, her costar in "The Proposal," Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter to express his condolences. "The world looks different now. She was great at defying expectation. She managed to grow very old and somehow, not old enough. We'll miss you, Betty," Reynolds wrote.

Comic Kathy Griffin also took to social media, thanking White for her inclusive attitude when it came to show biz and for treating her "like an equal in the comedy gurrrl world." Organizations such as GLAAD and The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center posted their regrets about hearing of White's passing, someone who had strongly supported their causes. While it seems as if the whole world is mourning White's loss, it was her "Hot in Cleveland" costar and friend Valerie Bertinelli who took to Instagram with one of the most touching tributes of all.

Valerie Bertinelli feels blessed to have known Betty White

Upon hearing of Betty White's passing, Valerie Bertinelli posted a tribute to the actress on Instagram that expressed just how blessed she felt to be in White's company and how much the world will miss her. "Rest In Peace, sweet Betty. My God, how bright heaven must be right now," Bertinelli posted alongside a pic of the duo. Fellow Betty White fans chimed in with comments expressing their sadness over her passing, such as one follower who wrote, "I'm so sorry for your loss Valerie, I know you loved her. We were all a little bit better because of Betty White's existence. What a legacy."

Bertinelli recently discussed her admiration for Betty White, who would have been 100 years old on January 17, 2022, in an interview with People, speaking out about how White taught her about gratitude. "Betty just oozes gratitude and she glows. I've never met another human being that glows," she said. "She's just, she's not of this world. And we are all blessed to have her here."
