The Chick-Fil-A Nugget Spin-Off Reddit Wants Made Into A Side Dish

The Chick-fil-A menu is a hotbed of debate. There are allegedly secret items that only people in the know can get, such as the double-breaded sandwich (via Insider), or the peach milkshake which only arises from the ashes once a year during the summer months. But, the food chain has firmly denied any such secret menu (per Chick-fil-A). Then there were the hoards of Redditors who screamed when the restaurant stopped serving bagels and decaf coffee. That was part of a huge overhaul, during which time the franchise altered the one thing it does best: chicken, according to Eat This, Not That!

Changing the chicken in Chick-fil-A is delicate. Devotees of the brand could very easily decide that any modifications have destroyed their beloved fast food joint. However, sometimes a change is called for. The online community has begun banding together to request, if not outright demand, that the sandwich shop add a new item to the menu. This time Reddit has asked that a strange type of breading nugget crumble become a regular player in the culinary lineup. So far, no word from Chick-fil-A.

The chicken crumble that may be the best part of your chicken dinner

Chicken nuggets are all well and good. So long as you don't eat too many nuggets and harm your body, they're little bites of delight that are perfectly shaped to go into a dipping sauce container. But, one Reddit thread wonders what if they could be re-balanced to offer more breading to less chicken, and given a crispier outside. The answer is the chicken crumble.

User SATX-Batman appears to be a big thinker who can take small things and turn them into serious capital. They posted a photo of a piece of fried chicken that is part nugget, part chicken finger, but bearing far more breading than either item can boast alone. They dubbed it "the best-tasting piece," and advised that, "Chick-fil-A needs to sell this on the side."

Others took up the cause and began offering names for this crispy bit, almost all of which sounded good enough for a marketing campaign. "Nuggie Crumbles!" crowed one individual. "Nuggetitos," suggested another. Whatever the name, it's clear that Chick-fil-A could be sitting on a secret goldmine of breaded goodness.
