What Is Doggy Style At In-N-Out Burger?

When it comes to fast food, you probably have your usual go-to order that you routinely get when you're in a rush and need some food in your belly. This is pretty common, considering that approximately 84.8 million adults eat fast food every day in the United States (via The Barbecue Lab). However, sometimes you might want to shake things up a bit. All of a sudden, your usual order just isn't hitting as well as it used to and you want to try something new. Here's where the hype of secret menus comes in. Throughout the years, customers have unleashed a number of lists for some of the world's most popular fast food restaurants and special items you can order.

From unlisted items at McDonald's to the Chick-fil-A secret menu, you can always count on the internet to give you new meal ideas to order the next time you find yourself in the drive-thru. While most of these secret items make sense and have generally-common names, others can be totally out in left field. Next time you crave In-N-Out, maybe consider ordering "Doggy Style" and see what happens.

Doggy Style with fries inside

"Hi, yes. I'll please take a grilled cheese doggy style." Say what? According to Cosmopolitan, this very well could be a real secret menu item at In-N-Out. In a list of supposedly secret menu items at the famed fast-food service joint, Doggy Style is listed as a special meal that you can order. Doggy Style at In-N-Out will apparently get you a protein-style grilled cheese with fries inside a lettuce sandwich.

While In-N-Out does indeed have a secret menu, it's up for debate if Doggy Style is actually something you can order. According to AZ Central, it's not. "No guys don't order this ... it's not on the menu I will laugh at you," said an In-N-Out employee that received news of the new menu term. You can still try this yourself though, as the burger chain does indeed offer "protein style" sandwiches, offering customers burgers wrapped in a lettuce leaf instead of a bun, as well as grilled cheese, substituting the burger meat with two slices of American cheese.
