You Can Actually Order The Burger From The Menu

Have you ever seen a movie and wished you could have some part of it in real life? Like the time-traveling Delorean from "Back to the Future" or a machine that rains food like in "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs?" Or maybe you'd prefer to have something simpler, like one of the meals from the film "The Menu." Well, thanks to a West Hollywood restaurant, now you can, according to Variety.

If you're reading this, you've likely already seen the horror thriller that hit theaters in November 2022, but if you haven't, here's a brief overview, sans spoilers: "The Menu" isn't your typical food movie, as the genre reveals. The dark comedy film centers around a multi-course menu with unique dishes served at a lavish island restaurant where Julian Slowik (Ralph Fiennes) is the head chef, per IMDb.

One of the most memorable dishes served in the movie is a juicy double cheeseburger with a side of crinkle-cut fries, and for the rest of the month, you can order one just like it at Irv's Burgers.

Just a well-made cheeseburger

Irv's Burgers has been grilling burgers since 1946, but the California eatery recently teamed up with Searchlight Pictures to offer the same cheeseburger from "The Menu." Appropriately called "Just a Well-Made Cheeseburger" the menu item includes two 3-ounce patties layered with grilled onions, two slices of melted American cheese, and a pickle in a toasted sesame seed bun, just like in the film. It also includes Irv's sauce.

And the crinkle fries? Yup. It comes with those, too, just like in the movie, but the portion size probably won't be as generous. You can buy the meal at the "The Menu" price of $9.95 with several customization options through January 31.

Irv's Burgers is located on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, California, if you're lucky enough to live nearby and try this limited-edition cheeseburger. If you're not, the recipe is easy enough to make yourself at home. And by the way, if you haven't yet seen the film it's now streaming on HBO Max.
