TikTok Isn't Mad At This Copycat Starbucks Pink Drink From Trader Joe's

Whether you need help getting out of bed in the morning or you are looking for an afternoon pick-me-up, Starbucks is many people's go-to source of caffeine. From the pistachio latte to the white chocolate mocha, there are dozens of coffee drinks on Starbucks' ever-changing menu. That said, if your taste buds have never enjoyed the taste of java, there are certain beverages on the menu for you too. This Seattle-based chain has a whole line of non-coffee drinks, like iced black tea lemonade, iced matcha tea latte, and Dragon Drink Starbucks Refreshers beverage. And let's not forget about the Starbucks secret menu.

One Starbucks drink that graduated from a secret menu item to a permanent fixture is the Pink Drink. According to Real Simple, the Pink Drink is merely the Starbucks Açaí Lemonade combined with coconut milk and frozen strawberries. Real Simple editors described the drink as "slightly creamy," "not too artificial tasting," and a beverage that "does taste like summer," while an editor for People described it as "just like a pink Starburst (a.k.a the world's favorite candy)."

One TikToker recently discovered that it's fairly easy to recreate this aesthetically pleasing drink at home — all you need is a few simple ingredients from Trader Joe's.

You only need three ingredients from Trader Joe's to recreate Starbucks' Pink Drink

User @brooke_lynnmiln took to TikTok to share a recent discovery. When the TikToker stepped inside her local Trader Joe's, she was met with an entire display dedicated to creating a copycat of Starbucks' Pink Drink. The table included jugs of watermelon cucumber cooler juice beverage concentrate made with organic watermelon juice, Trader Joe's coconut beverage made from real coconut non-dairy vanilla, and freeze-dried strawberries. "And honestly, the price of all of this together is like one Venti pink drink," the TikToker revealed.

To recreate the beverage, Brooke Lynn put ice in a Starbucks tumbler and poured in the Watermelon Cucumber Cooler until the cup was about two-thirds full. To finish off her drink, Lynn poured in a splash of the non-dairy coconut beverage. (She decided to skip out on the strawberries.)

After taking her first sip, the TikToker declared this dupe to be "honestly, not bad!" She said one of the only downsides of the beverage was the cucumber flavoring that came from the TJ's juice. If this also is a deal breaker for you, many TikTok commenters suggest swapping it out for "white cran-strawberry juice." There are also many other copycat recipes you can look to for inspiration. CopyKat uses TAZO passion herbal tea and white grape juice to recreate the flavor of the Starbucks Açaí Lemonade, while our Copycat Starbucks Pink Drink recipe similarly uses berry-flavored tea and chilled concentrated grape juice.
