The Cheapest Chick-Fil-A Side You'll Find On Its Menu

When ordering your go-to Chick-fil-A meal, you have the option of any drink and side you want. There are countless sides you can go with that are on the Chick-fil-A menu, like the classic waffles fries, which were named the most popular menu item in 2021 according to Chick-fil-A. You could also try the fan-favorite mac and cheese, which also made it on the 2021 most-ordered list. The fast food chain also has healthier sides like the 60 calories fruit cup or the side salad with mixed greens and some shredded cheese. Whatever your go-to side is, there is an option for everyone no matter what you're craving.

But there are some other sides you may not be aware of that Chick-fil-A offers all day to have with your chicken nuggets or a spicy chicken sandwich. It has soups and yogurt and also applesauce for anyone craving something a little bigger and nutritious (via Chick-fil-A). But there is another side that you may not know about, and it's actually the cheapest side on the Chick-fil-A menu at the moment.

The waffle potato chips are the cheapest

The Chick-fil-A side that is the cheapest is the waffle potato chips, which you can find at any local Chick-fil-A. While they weren't always on their full menu, they are a spin on the classic waffle fries the fast food chain sells, but instead, the chips are a smaller serving and way crispier than their french fry counterparts. The side originally was just part of the restaurant's catering menu but in 2018 the kettle-cooked chips got brought up to the big leagues (via Atlanta Business Chronicle).

The chips are described as kettle-cooked waffle-cut chips sprinkled with sea salt. At only $1.99, they continue to be the cheapest side on the menu (via Krazy Coupon Lady). They are a great gluten-free substitute. But they're also good if you're craving some waffle-cut potatoes but don't want to commit to full-on french fries.

A Reddit post asks if people are fans of the chips, and most people say they are a little too salty but could be good with Chick-fil-A dipping sauces. One Redditor wrote,  "I'm not a fan of plain chips, so I did dip the chips into their ranch sauce and that was good. I suppose the chips would be good with any of the sauces." So depending on if you are a big salt fan or not, these chips may be a good side for your to try and are definitely cheaper than the other sides at the fast food chain.
