It also helps that she's worked for top restaurants in New York and is featured on multiple shows with the Food Network. On her show Chef Wanted, Burrell helps successful restaurants find the perfect candidates to be their next executive chef. She also instructs viewers how to make her delicious restaurant style dishes on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Not one to stop there, Burrell also appears on Worst Cooks in America where she mentors cooks from around the country and puts them through a culinary bootcamp. This drive to be a top chef, seems to have stemmed from a young age for Burrell.

According to her Food Network biography, she grew up in upstate New York and loved cooking from an early age. After college Burrell enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America and later spent a year in Italy where she worked for some of the top restaurants in the area, like La Bottega del' 30, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. Her love of the culture and cuisines of Italy left a lasting impression on her, and when Burrell went back to New York City, she was motivated to create meals inspired by Mediterranean countries. Her experiences led her to create her signature style that she's beloved for today.

Hiring Anne Burrell for your next event won't be cheap

According to Food & Beverage Magazine, Burrell also turned her recipes into cookbooks and one even earned her a spot on The New York Times Best Seller List. So what is this culinary star like in person? She told HuffPost that some people are shocked by her personality when they meet her. "I find people are surprised that I am who I am... The Anne you see on TV is me," Burrell said. "I don't have an on camera persona... I am simply me and I guess sometimes that freaks people out?"

So if you want this true-to-herself chef to come to your personal event, it won't be cheap. The Celebrity Chef Network says you can hire Burrell for $20,000 to $50,000, depending on what the appearance includes. According to the booking agency, she can be hired as a culinary consultant, event planner, host, or for cooking demonstrations. If you want to sample some of Burrell's delicious rustic Italian, it'll likely be near the $50,000 end of the spectrum.
