Everything You Need To Know About Baby Yoda Cereal
Fans of the Disney+ television show The Mandalorian, based on characters from the expansive Star Wars universe, immediately fell in love with the character Baby Yoda (officially referred to as "The Child"). After the show's release, social media feeds were soon flooded with GIFs, memes, and fan art of the adorable character, causing Disney to scramble a bit to get out Baby Yoda-themed merchandise to meet demand, according to The New York Times.
Disney has now made up for their The Mandalorian marketing misstep, and there is no shortage of items featuring the lovable alien tyke available to purchase, from clothing to bobble heads to coffee mugs — and that's just counting the official merchandise sold by Disney and not including any of the unofficial items available across the web.
One new Baby Yoda-adorned product, which The Mandalorian devotees and collectors of all-things-cute alike will be scrambling to get their hands on, is the official Star Wars: The Mandalorian cereal from General Mills.
How to get your hands on a box of General Mills' upcoming Baby Yoda cereal.
General Mills announced their newest Disney-branded food on May 4, 2020, as a nod to what Star Wars fans celebrate as the unofficial "Star Wars Day," according to Yahoo! The outlet shares that General Mills has a history of producing Star Wars-themed cereals, offering boxes featuring characters such as Rey, Kylo Ren, Yoda (the adult one), and droid BB-8 in 2015, 2016, and 2019.
According to Delish, General Mills will be releasing the new Star Wars: The Mandalorian cereal sometime during the summer of 2020. The cereal will consist of sweet corn puffs and light green marshmallows shaped like Baby Yoda's head. The company has not yet announced more details, like when exactly the breakfast treat will be available, how much it will cost, or if it is going to be a limited-edition item or a permanent addition to their cereal roster, so if you would like to add some Baby Yoda sweetness to your morning, be sure to keep watching for more information as it is released.
