Kroger tends to get busy between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on weekdays, so shopping outside of those hours will ensure that you'll have as peaceful a shopping excursion as possible. But, you really need to consider what your biggest priority is when going grocery shopping, such as fewer people, the newest products, or the best deals. There are a few days when all of these priorities collide, which typically happens on the mornings of Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Kroger and its other chains like Harris Teeter, Fred Myer, Baker's, Ralphs, and Smith's all follow the same schedule with stocking and marking down items. "We stock our stores overnight and during early morning hours," said Kristal Howard, Head of Corporate Communications and Media Relations at The Kroger Co. (via Today). That means the earlier you shop, the fresher the selection of products will be, and the fewer people you will see.

It's also worth noting the best times to shop for deals and discounts. Across its stores, the Kroger marks down its products on Wednesdays. There's also a free Friday download that allows you to redeem one free item from Kroger per week. Plus, the coupons are usually good for up to two weeks. That means if you wanted to claim two items, you can always use one this week and the other the following week. 

So, with this new knowledge, you can more confidently plan your shopping spree to Kroger before you even get to the store.
