What You Need To Know About Kirkland's New Chocolate Chip Cookies

Wholesale, members-only grocery chain Costco is known for super low prices and their high quality, in-house Kirkland Signature label. Recently, the brand has debuted an all-new cookie that has fans of the bulk-buy company excited. Costco fan Instagram account @thecostcoconnoisseur spotted the brand new Kirkland Signature Mini Thin & Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies at their local store in early September of this year. They state that the new cookies are really good and almost taste homemade, with commenters agreeing that the mini cookies definitely live up to the hype and their high expectations when it comes to new Kirkland Signature products.

@thecostcoconnoisseur says that the cookies are made in a peanut- and tree nut-free facility, and using cocoa sourced through Cocoa Horizons. According to their website, the Cocoa Horizons Foundation is a non-profit devoted to helping cocoa farmers build self-sustaining communities and improving their livelihoods by supporting efforts to promote sustainability, improve productivity, and foster development that protects the ecosystem and their children.

Another Instagram Costco fan account, @costcobuys, also spotted the new Kirkland Signature Mini Thin & Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies at their local store. The account stated that the product cost $9.89 at their Costco location. From the photo included in the post, it appears the new Kirkland Signature cookies come in a box of 30 packs, weighing 1 ounce each and containing 140 calories.

Costco fans say these new cookies are way better than other national brands

In the comments on the @costcobuys post, other fans said they are loving these new Kirkland Signature Mini Thin & Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies, which user @kimberlybwolf declared to taste just like gourmet brand Tate's Bake Shop. Another commenter states that the only real downside to the product is that they create a ton of crumbs if you don't eat them in one bite — an easy feat for adults, but a little difficult for small children.

Reddit user Rex805 scored a box of the Kirkland Signature Mini Thin & Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies and posted them to the message board r/Costco. When asked by other fans of the wholesale grocery chain if these taste like national brand Famous Amos or if they think the product could even be made by the same company that produces Tate's, Rex805 responded that these new Kirkland Signature cookies are much nicer than Famous Amos, and while they're not sure the cookies are an exact replica of Tate's version, they are high quality and way better than regular Chips Ahoy. A few Reddit users also pointed out a slightly salty taste to the cookies, which they said was strange but not off-putting enough to return them.

We love Tate's Bake Shop cookies, so we cannot wait to get our hands on the Kirkland Signature Mini Thin & Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies to see how they stack up.
