What You Should Know About KFC's New Sauce
It's hard not to love chicken tenders, especially if you have plenty of your favorite sauce to dip them in. There's something about dipping sauces that just make meals better — perhaps it's all the extra flavor sauces can add. In fact, a recent DoorDash survey revealed that 75 percent of Americans say their meal is wrecked if the sauces are forgotten, and 20 percent say sauce is vital to a great fried chicken meal (via PR Newswire). Fortunately for all of us, KFC just launched a brand new flavor of dipping sauce.
On Thursday, October 8th, Kentucky Fried Chicken announced their new signature dipping sauce, simply called KFC sauce, will be a perfect balance of sweet and tangy as well as smoky. Plus, the chain's Extra Crispy Tenders have all those nooks and crannies you need to hold on to even more sauce. So, die-hard fans of Chick-fil-A's signature sauce will have to venture out to another chicken chain just to try another namesake sauce.
This is when you can try KFC sauce
The chain's KFC sauce wasn't made on some whim, either. It took a lot of time and effort to create this perfect new dipping sauce. "When we set out to create a new signature dipping sauce, we went right to the experts — our customers — to find out what made a sauce best-in-class for dipping," said Andrea Zahumensky, chief marketing officer, KFC U.S. (via Delish). "We went through 50 iterations, and their response to this recipe was overwhelming!" After so much effort, an overwhelming response to the sauce sounds more than deserved — not to mention, it's more than deserving of a try from loyal customers.
Fans of KFC will have to wait a few days before you can get this dipping sauce with your order. The new KFC sauce will be available starting Monday, October 12th at all locations in the United States. If you're not sure this new sauce is the one for you, though, the franchise doesn't want you to worry. The chain is also launching newly revamped classic sauce flavors including Ranch, Honey BBQ, and Honey Mustard as well as KFC Hot Sauce. So, go dip and dunk to your heart's content.
