What You Need To Know About The Rock's New Holiday Ice Cream Flavors

Last year, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson released the Dwanta Christmas ice cream in partnership with Portland ice cream company Salt & Straw (via The Oregonian). The flavor sold out in 48 hours. Now The Rock is back with a new ice cream flavor: Dwanta's Teremana Spiked Eggnog.

"Ho, ho, ho! The one and only Dwanta Claus here again with the most delicious gift of all: ICE CREAM!" reads the letter featured in The Rock's Instagram post announcing the flavor. "The talented Salt & Straw Elves and I are so excited for you to finally taste our brand new holiday flavor created with a lot of love and just a dash of naughty!"

Plus, a portion of the proceeds goes towards a non-profit organization that provides meals for those in need. The Salt & Straw site explains that Salt & Straw and Teremana will both give $1 to the José Andrés-founded World Central Kitchen for every pint of Dwanta's Teremana Spiked Eggnog that's sold.

What's in the flavors?

The new flavor, Dwanta's Teremana Spiked Eggnog is a custard-based flavor made with The Rock's own small-batch Teremana Tequila, nutmeg, amontillado sherry, and salt (via The Takeout). In addition to the spiked eggnog flavor, Salt & Straw has also brought back two of last year's The Rock Holiday flavors. One of these flavors, I Saw Mommy Kissing Dwanta Claus, features a whiskey-flavored ice cream base swirled with milk chocolate and caramel fudge and mixed with chunks of peanut butter chocolate chip cookie dough. The other option, The Rock'n Around The Christmas Tree, is a flavor with raspberry jam, frosted brownie pieces, and glacé cherries.

The flavors are available as part of the 2020 Dwanta Claus "Naughty, Nice & Spiked" pint five-pack, which in addition to these three also features Salt & Straw's Double Fold Vanilla flavor and its Chocolate Gooey Brownie flavor. You can order the five-pack for $65 at Salt & Straw's website.
