The Bizarre Bowl Of Melted Cheese McDonald's Brazil Just Launched

McDonald's Brazil asks on Instagram, "What if we made a pool of cheddar..." (via Best Products). Their Instagram post shares person after person diving off a high-dive and into... a juicy burger dunked in gooey cheese sauce. That's right — McDonald's in Brazil is officially selling sides of cheese sauce you can use for dunking just about everything on their menu into: from fries to nuggets to Big Macs. The announcement was shared December 8th, and the product appears to simply be a bowl of melted cheddar sauce that's about 3.5 ounces.

The cheese-craving reporters over at Yahoo! helped grab some more information, based primarily on Instagram shares. The cheese cup's 100 grams of melty goodness seems to go a long way, with one taster showing a burger and fries being dunked to satisfaction with quite a bit of melted cheddar left in their cup. Another taster described the experience as "super creamy and yummy," according to the outlet.

A cup o' cheese, please

Diving further into this new product, it looks like it could possibly be a spinoff of one McDonald's sandwich already offered in Brazil, the Cheddar McMelt (via McDonald's). The cheese cup would appear to be based on the same condiment used on this gooey sandwich, which reminds us a little of a burger-centric take on Arby's Beef and Cheddar. The sandwich is described as including a beef patty, melted cheddar cheese, and grilled onions with soy sauce. While we couldn't find a listing for the cheese cup itself on McDonald's Brazil's website, you may be as fascinated as we are by the listings for a bottle of Micky D's special sauce or what appears to be a side of cherry tomatoes!

Unfortunately for U.S. cheese lovers, there have not been any announcements of a rollout for this product stateside, and even the time this item will be available in Brazil is undefined. Until then, you may have to settle for making your own cheddar dip. Still, we say, a cup of cheese, please? Mmm. Cheese.
