Aldi Just Brought Back Its Heart-Shaped Pizza For Valentine's Day
It's only a few short weeks until February 14th, that special day of the year when people go out of their way to show their love for others. While the COVID-19 pandemic may have put a damper on some Valentine's Day plans, Aldi has a romantic way to help you celebrate the holiday without leaving your house. The supermarket chain has brought back their famous Mama Cozzi's heart-shaped Pizza My Heart Cheese Pizza, which is on sale now for under five dollars, per Aldi. The heart-shaped treat has mozzarella, provolone, and white cheddar cheese, and is topped with additional shavings of parmesan and romano, seasoned with garlic and herbs, and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil.
The popular Instagram account @aldi.mademedoit shared the find, posting: "A pizza my heart came back once I found these again... I will buy themed food till the day I die...Who else grabs it all?!" Their followers were equally excited to see the return of the heart-shaped pizzas. Follower @aldifavoritefinds replied: "We loved this last year," while @jackieeberlin wrote: "Oh I hope my Aldi has this!" User allynicole210 had already started her Valentine's Day celebrations early, announcing: "Just made this for dinner tonight!"
The heart-shaped pizza isn't the only way to celebrate with Aldi
While the pizza is warming in the oven, you can whip up a charcuterie board for dessert, featuring some of Aldi's romantic, heart-shaped cheeses. You can choose from an assortment of three Emporium Selection Valentine Cheeses: a unique gin and rhubarb Wensleydale cheese, a hearty mature cheddar, or a rich Wensleydale with raspberries and white chocolate, via Aldi.
Better yet, you can simply buy all three, and pair them with a bottle of Aldi's specialty dessert wine. Per Delish, a glass of Petit Cherry or creamy Vanilla Bean wine will add a finishing touch of sweetness and decadence to a meal. If red wine is more your thing, Aldi's Petit Chocolat red wine, made with dark chocolate flavor and fine cream, will make for a great end to an evening.
