You Might Want To Skip Burger King's Mozzarella Sticks. Here's Why
Burger King is a giant fast food brand, no doubt. As far as catering to a plethora of customers is concerned, it must be said that the brand is definitely doing something right. According to Delish, the love that the public has for Burger King is not to be underestimated. Several well-known personalities such as Hugh Laurie, Jay Leno, Robert Downey Jr. and Jennifer Hudson have access to what is known as the gold card. The Burger King card gives its special customers access to a range of benefits at Burger King.
As far as food at the fast food chain is concerned, when you're trying to pick dishes to eat at the restaurant, you'll be spoilt for choice. According to Ranker, some of the best dishes that you get at the restaurant are the Whopper, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, the French fries, onion rings, and more. However, what's the one item that you should definitely avoid, no matter how hungry you are? The mozzarella sticks. This is why.
Burger King's mozzarella sticks leave a lot to be desired
A Redditor recently posted about the disappointing experience that they had after ordering mozzarella sticks at the restaurant. They posted two photos: comparing what Burger King claims the food item looks like, versus, the disappointing dish that they were served. A commentator wrote, "I've tried three different BKs in three different cities and they've all been like this.. it's like they purposely keep their old s**t around until it sells – zero standards.. sad." Ouch.
The mozzarella sticks definitely get a bad rap. A 2019 review pointed out that the item was devoid of taste or flavors (via Brand Eating.) The review noted that the sticks were unremarkable and had minimal seasoning. The dish was served with marinara sauce. The review noted, "With the mozzarella sticks being pretty tasteless, the included marinara sauce was left to carry the flavor load. The sauce was mostly just sweet and tangy with the requisite tomato notes but was lacking in any garlic, onion, or herb flavors." Sound thoroughly disappointing.
