Aldi Shoppers Are Obsessed With These Cheesy Bagels
If there are two foods out there that are among the most beloved, a pairing that has stood the test of time, it has to be cheese and bagels. So many people love bagels adorned with everything seasoning. Then there's the addiction-like cravings some have for cheese. Apparently, two compounds in cheese, casein and casomorphins, stimulate the brain just as narcotics like heroin do (via Forbes). It's no wonder cheese is so popular. However, the latest product to hit Aldi shelves combines all of those things (minus the drugs, of course), and customers are freaking out.
Aldi fan Instagram account @aldi.mademedoit spotted two kinds of Specially Selected bagels on Wednesday, March 3. The photo included a pack of Specially Selected Double Cheese Bagels with Mozzarella and Parmesan and a pack of Specially Selected White Cheddar Everything Bagels with White Cheddar, Onion, and Garlic. Both are combinations that sound heavenly, which is probably why the post got more than 850 likes in a day. The caption read, "it's been bagel heaven in @aldiusa and I'm not even mad about it. [This] week's flavors are white cheddar everything and double cheddar! Which one did you want to try?!" Naturally, customers responded.

The Aldi's bagels post attracted only one negative comment. The commenter felt that the bagels didn't have enough seasoning. Another commenter came to the defense of Aldi's bagels, though. They said, "their regular Anything bagels are the best ones out there. They have the most 'everything' on them." Maybe the new bagels will be a happy middle ground for both Aldi shoppers.
However, everyone else seems to be a fan and cannot wait to get their hands on the latest finds. One person simply wrote, "STOP. IT." Another said, "love these bagels." Someone else commented, "they sound really good," and that's a sentiment most people can agree with. Another person was lucky enough to have already tried the new bagels. They said, "I bought the white cheddar yesterday, it was amazing!!" Finally, another comment read, "[obsessed] w the White Cheddar, so soft and fresh, and lots of Garlic." So don't wait around to try these. Chances are they'll be flying off the shelves.
