Cracker Barrel Fans Are Freaking Out Over Its New Sweet And Savory Barrel Bites
Cracker Barrel is always revamping its menu with new holiday and seasonal dishes, as well as finding ways to put creative, tasty spins on fan favorites like their homestyle classics. Just in time for Mother's Day, the beloved Southern food chain is introducing new limited-time offerings, and there's one item in particular that's already receiving rave reviews: Barrel Bites.
Available in two flavors, Barrel Bites are meant to be a shareable plate for the table or an appetizer to hold you over until the main event. Or, if you aren't that hungry, you could order the dish as your entree too. As noted in a post on Cracker Barrel's Instagram account, diners can choose from two Barrel Bites options — either the Loaded Hashbrown Casserole Tots or Biscuit Beignets.
Those who would die for Cracker Barrel's famous Hashbrown Casserole will probably also love the loaded tots that are topped with chopped bacon and melted Colby cheese and served alongside buttermilk ranch for dipping (via Cracker Barrel). If you have more of a sweet tooth or knack for baked goods, the Biscuit Beignets are for you. Made with the chain's incredible deep-fried buttermilk biscuit dough, these fluffy bites are then tossed in cinnamon sugar with a side of butter pecan sauce.

Cracker Barrel's new menu items haven't been out for long, but they're already drawing attention and a lot of love. Upon sharing the news on social media, fans took to the comments section on Instagram to share their excitement, which included lots of heart eye emojis and a string of "yum!" comments. One follower shared that the bites are "soooooooo good!!!!" while another said they couldn't wait to head to their local chain to try out the new items.
As announced by Cracker Barrel, the Barrel Bites are just one of the new items on their menu. The restaurant is also offering Fruit Stand Tea, a Buttercrunch Caramel Latte (available iced or hot), Sweet n' Smoky Glazed Tenders, and Hand-Breaded Fried Chicken Tenders. Both tender options also come in meal form with two Country Sides and special sauces. These limited-time offerings won't be around for long, so be sure to pay your local Cracker Barrel a visit before they're gone.
