Everything You Need To Know About Haagen-Dazs' Boozy Ice Cream

Häagen-Dazs sells deliciously boozy ice cream that comes in flavors like Bourbon Praline Pecan and Irish Cream Brownie. "The Spirits Collection was expertly crafted to offer new, extraordinary ways to indulge," Häagen-Dazs Brand Manager, Rachel Jaiven, announced in a press release. "Each flavor is perfect to pair with your favorite cocktail, elevate a boozy float or simply enjoy on its own."

Some of the other incredible flavors the brand offers are Bourbon Vanilla Bean Truffle, Rosé and Cream, and Whiskey Hazelnut Latte. However, to call the ice creams boozy, may be an overstatement. In their coverage of the line's launch, CNBC notes that the federal government does not consider products with 0.5% ABV or less to count as alcohol. Of course, there are further state laws which may explain why Häagen-Dazs lists their booze infused ice creams as "spirits" on their website. Be that as it may, Taste of Home still offers rapturous descriptions for each flavor, as does the reviews for each on the company's webpage.

In Europe, Häagen-Dazs just went further

Recently, Häagen-Dazs launched a series of popup shops called "Häagen-Bar" in France and Spain. Field Marketing explains that this is apparently part of their campaign "Love the Mix," which brings together unexpected combinations. "To celebrate the release of our new cocktail flavours, we wanted to give people something to celebrate with," Global Assistant Brand Manager for Häagen-Dazs, Alice Hodgson, told the outlet.

At the fore of the event were the newer cocktail inspired flavors "Piña Colada," which features pineapple ice cream with coconut shavings and rum, and their "Lime Mojito Sorbet," a lime sorbet with rum and mint. As with their spirits collection, both contain less than 1% ABV. In this case that amount is somewhat higher with the Pina Colada hitting .8% and the sorbet reahcing .97%. However, these delectable sounding flavors are not currently available in America just yet. So, it looks like you'll just have to satisfy your sweet tooth by buying some of their other alcohol infused treats.
