Taco Bell Has Good News For Fans Of Its Flatbread Tacos
If you needed a sign to become a Taco Bell Rewards Member — look no further, because here it is. From July 19 through July 21, 2021, Taco Bell will be giving exclusive access to its soon-to-be released flatbread tacos. These tacos come in two varieties: Loaded Chicken and Beefy Potato, according to a Chew Boom article. They each come in a warm, toasted flatbread "shell," which some Taco Bell consumers ate "religiously" when they were previously on the menu, as described by one Reddit user.
As we know, Taco Bell is notorious for constantly revamping its menu — and that includes removing popular menu items that we know and love. One of these was chicken flatbreads, in which the backlash was so intense, a Facebook page titled, "BRING BACK THE TACO BELL CHICKEN FLATBREADS!" was created. Thankfully, for these die-hard fans, the flatbreads will be back for everyone on July 22, 2021.

According to a Brand Eating article, the flatbreads have gone on and off the menu for a series of years. They were initially introduced in 2010, with a Bacon Ranch variety being available until 2011. This flatbread choice was sold alongside two other protein options: steak and grilled chicken, which were also then removed from the menu at some point.
But as we all know now, Taco Bell sure loves to tease us. Taco Bell had briefly re-released the Steak Flatbread Sandwich in 2016, which was majorly advertised during the airing of the NBA Finals at the time, according to CantonRep.com. Then, it was suddenly gone again. The upcoming return won't be the first appearance of the Beefy Potato Flatbread either. According to a Delish article, Taco Bell had tested a $1 Beefy Potato Flatbread in 2018 for, of course, a limited time.
So we have a parting question for Taco Bell — why didn't you bring back the flatbreads sooner? We've waited for this moment long enough and we're going to savor it and hope that the flatbreads' addition back to the menu will be a permanent one.
