Kit Kat Brought Back This Seasonal Flavor Just In Time For Fall

Can we admire, just for one second, how innovative the Kit Kat creators and tastemakers are? If Oreo hit the bar, Kit Kat has raised it — and yet they get little recognition. Whereas Oreo comes out with new hit-or-miss flavors pretty regularly, with Wide Open Eats claiming there are very likely about "5-10 different varieties [of Oreos] on the shelf at a given time," Kit Kat continues to innovate on a level slightly more "under the radar."

According to ZenPop, Kit Kat's unique flavors in Japan have been particularly newsworthy, with options like sake, banana, and a slew of Matcha varieties so popular that people tend to have them shipped to the U.S. And that's not even scratching the surface of what the candy maker can do. Other popular flavors include Lemon Crisp, Mint + Dark Chocolate, Peach Parfait, White Creme, and the list goes on and on. So when it comes to re-introducing their latest flavor, let's just say, those with a sweet tooth and love of fall should be excited about this one.

Kit Kat brings back the pumpkin spice

In addition to the usual lineup of Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Apple Cider Donuts that come with the onset of fall, Kit Kat is also offering the return of their likeminded limited-time fall flavor, Pumpkin Pie. If you are the one constantly longing for the tastes of pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving, this one is for you. As FoodBeast mentioned when it announced the return of this flavor, pumpkin spice fans will consider this "a huge win for everyone," and if the replies to @foodbeast's Instagram post are any indication, the public agrees.

While one follower joked, "Ahh I almost forgot about pumpkin season," another follower noted they would "love to try these." Other comments have included, "the best" and "good af!!!" with lots of heart eye emojis. Past reviews, like this one from MyRecipes in 2019, applaud the flavor as adorably packaged and pleasant but strong in flavor, which may be a bit much for "the casual pumpkin spice fan," they say. But diehards should get ready because they're going to want to try these!
