How Reddit Thinks Chick-Fil-A Could Improve Its App

Particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses realized how crucial it is to have some kind of online presence. For some, this meant enabling ordering via a restaurant's website. For others, this meant developing an app for ordering. Without these new options for ordering, takeout, and delivery, many restaurants likely would have had to close their doors.

While it may feel easier to just peruse a food delivery app like Grubhub or DoorDash, you can usually fare better by ordering directly through the restaurant. For example, with the McDonald's app, you can get a free medium fry, no purchase necessary (via Clark Deals). Many restaurants have similar rewards or points programs that sweeten the deal, too.

Now, this isn't to say that any of these apps are perfect. Each restaurant is going to have different strengths and weaknesses. However, customer feedback is a great way to raise concerns and suggest changes. Redditors, for example, took to the internet to share their thoughts on the Chick-fil-A app, offering insight into how the popular restaurant can improve.

Speak the change you wish to see in the app

Reddit recently started a thread with thoughts about what the Chick-fil-A app is missing. Nearly 100 Redditors weighed in with their struggles and desired changes. Several comments suggested implementing an option for split payments so the remainder of a gift card could be used with a debit/credit card.

User Needmoarbass wanted, "More deals. [Chick-fil-A] only has rewards. Most fast food apps have deals that don't require rewards points." Others commented that they frequented other fast food restaurants purely for the great deals available on the apps.

Customization options — or rather, the lack thereof — was another common complaint. Redditor Beautiful-Pear-5563 said they just wanted "the ability to order a large mac n cheese" on the app. Another Redditor wanted to be able to substitute warm chicken for cold chicken in a wrap. Others wanted an option for condiments or for a cup of ice. Any feedback can also be shared through the Chick-fil-A contact portal
