Gordon Ramsay Just Announced Where His New Market-Style Restaurant Will Be

Hot-tempered, rude, and opinionated are words often used to describe celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay. Known for his popular prime time TV shows, "Hell's Kitchen" and "MasterChef," he's also appeared on many other food and service-centered television series such as "Kitchen Nightmares" and "Hotel Hell" (via IMDb). Ramsay debuted as a chef in London, England, in 1993, and five years later, he opened and became head of his own self-titled restaurant, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, which was quickly awarded three prestigious Michelin stars, per Ramsay's official website

Over the course of his career so far, Ramsay has opened more than 20 restaurants around the world, from Lucky Cat in London, England, to Bread Street Kitchen in Sanya, China. In total, the chef now has 7 Michelin stars. You may think that with so many restaurants and TV shows, Ramsay may want to take a break and relax — or at least slow down a little. But Ramsay doesn't work that way. The well-known celebrity chef is already preparing for another endeavor revolving around food, but with a slightly different concept, and he just announced its location.

North Carolina will host the Gordon Ramsay Food Market

So what's his new food idea that he's planning to launch? Ramsay is opening a food market in North Carolina at a casino resort. He told the Charlotte Observer, "I'm in love with the Cherokee/Asheville area, and I couldn't be more excited to open my very first Gordon Ramsay Food Market in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains."

Gordon Ramsay Food Market is set to open in early 2022 at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort. If you're curious about what to expect, there will be food of all types available, with seven different styles. The Gordon Ramsay Food Market will have options for everything from breakfast to dinner, as well as late-night snacks. Go with a group of friends and you can be sure there is something for everyone's taste.

Ramsay expanded on his plans to the Charlotte Observer, naming a few of the many dining options that will be included, stating, "From Street Burger and Street Pizza to Fish & Chips, GR Sushi and more, we'll highlight the very best local ingredients sourced from the region's incredible farmers and artisans." Mark your calendars for this debut, because you won't want to miss this opportunity to be one of the first to line up at this new food market-style restaurant and enjoy a bite to eat, before telling all your friends about your experience.
