The Only State Where You Can't Buy Turkey Hill Ice Cream

Ice cream is a tasty indulgence no matter where it comes from, but it can feel like an extra-special treat to get a sweet, creamy cone from your favorite parlor. However, making the trip to your local creamery isn't always practical, so pre-packaged grocery store brands can be perfect for those looking to have this frozen dessert on-hand at all times.

According to Thomasnet, Turkey Hill is one of the top 10 ice cream manufacturers in the country. Plus, Today reports that Turkey Hill's Original Vanilla is one of the most affordable grocery store vanilla ice cream brands, especially compared to specialty types like Ben & Jerry's or Häagen-Dazs.

However, those who love Turkey Hill might be surprised to know that the brand can't be purchased in every U.S. state. If you're someone who needs this ice cream brand to satisfy your sweet tooth, you might want to avoid moving out of the contiguous United States.

Turkey Hill is not available in Hawaii

Though Turkey Hill's reach extends all throughout the United States and even into Alaska, those living in Hawaii might be disappointed to know that the brand does not supply to anywhere on the island chain, per the company's website. The budget-friendly ice cream brand does not explain why it has no Hawaii distributors.

These days, Turkey Hill isn't the only brand that Hawaiians have found hard to come by. Supply chain issues have affected the island chain substantially; Hawaii News Now reported back in October 2021 that a combination of labor issues and shipping constraints were affecting business' abilities to get products to Hawaii. Plus, finding packaging for certain products has been difficult, too, creating a triple threat of problems for this U.S. state.

It is unclear if Turkey Hill products were ever available in Hawaii, and it remains to be seen whether the brand will eventually strike a deal with a Hawaiian distributor to get their products on store shelves.
