  • Abbe's 16-year-long career and expansive experience in food and beverage journalism was first inspired by her mother's cooking.
  • A long distance runner, she can be found (quite literally) running to discover new restaurants as well as returning to her favorite haunts, and seeking out the best nachos in New York City.
  • She once produced a video for the Michelin Guide with an endurance cyclist chef, titled "Fredrik Berselius: Beyond the Kitchen," which won a Telly Award.

Experience

A veteran food and beverage writer with over 16 years of experience, Abbe has written for outlets including Michelin Guide, Robert Parker Wine Advocate, Food & Wine, Food Arts, Epicurious, and Condé Nast Traveler, among many others. She is proud of everything she's ever published, with some of her favorite works includes deep recipe editing for Food Arts magazine, interviewing Anthony Bourdain for his graphic novel, as well as filming several venerable Michelin-starred chefs for a video that would be nominated for an Emmy Award. Today, when Abbe isn't writing for Chowhound, she is likely reading up on the New York Times Cooking section, or preparing newly-inspired meals for her and her partner.

Education

Abbe has a bachelor's degree in marketing with a minor in economics from East Carolina University, as well as a Grand Diplôme in Classic Culinary Arts from the International Culinary Center (formerly the French Culinary Institute).
