  • Liz is a freelance writer and editor who's been creating, tinkering, and thinking about food, cooking, and wellness for over 10 years.
  • She's been an intern, assistant editor, and contributing editor at Taste of Home's print magazine, as well as a writer and editor for their website.
  • Her credits also include Taste of Home's special interest publications and cookbooks, and the magazines Country Woman, Country, and Reminisce.

Liz has been working as a professional writer and editor for over 10 years, both in print and digital media. A Midwesterner by way of Pittsburgh, she's obsessed with food, drink, fitness, and — of course — the written word. She found her way into food writing, after working restaurant jobs throughout college, as an editorial intern for Taste of Home magazine in 2010. Since then, she's worked as an editor and freelancer with a lighthearted approach to the lesser-known aspects of food science and nutrition. When she's not writing about food, she's writing and revising her essays for literary magazines.

Tucked away within reach of both Pittsburgh and the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg is a regional campus with a small and mighty writing program. Liz focused on creative non-fiction and poetry with writers/poets/professors Lori Jakiela and Judith Vollmer.
