Experience

Jon has had a wildly diverse career, working as a journalist for a decade covering everything from food policy to music reviews. After a brief career in the music industry, he worked his way up the ranks in the restaurant world, staging at award winning bars and restaurants like the Aviary in Chicago and the Bazaar by Jose Andres before being asked to write about food and booze for a change. The founder and Editor-in-Chief of the culinary literary journal the Dirty Spoon, and the host of the Dirty Spoon Radio Hour from WPVM, his focus has always been on the stories behind what we consume and how they came to be. He also still works as a bar, restaurant, and catering consultant. Jon joined Static Media in 2022, putting his skills as an avid eater, drinker, recipe developer, and writer to the task of informing others how to soak up every last drop of the good stuff.

Education
