Food culture, Quick and easy meals, Budget-friendly foods
  • As a mother of two, Julia is passionate about having quick and easy meals on hand that make dinner a breeze in the midst of chaos. Her current go-to is a one-pot mac and cheese recipie that has them happily munching in only half an hour.
  • She is always interested in learning about different cultures and seeks unique culinary experiences, first encouraged by her multicultural friend group. She loves a good Brazilian steakhouse.
  • She holds budget-friendly recipes in high esteem and often has her finger on the pulse of which stores have the best pricing.

Experience

After leaving her job as a human resources coordinator, Julia decided to follow her calling by pursuing a career in the writing industry. Shortly after, she was given the opportunity to write "Greater Than a Tourist — Niagara Falls, Canada," an installment in the Greater Than a Tourist anthology series. Within the book, she shares 50 tips and tricks based on her real-life experiences of living in the city. She also began writing feature articles for WorldAtlas about a variety of topics, including unique animals, interesting historical facts, and one-of-a-kind cities. She was invited to write an edition in the Eat Like a Local food guide anthology series. In this second book, titled "Eat Like a Local: Hamilton Food Guide," she discusses the top 50 restaurants in the city and the quirks that make them unique. Julia is also a proud member of the Imaginative Fiction Writers Association. She spends her spare time writing epic fantasy, and self-published her first in a Trilogy entitled "A Tale of Two Fates." She aims to release book two in the "Tangled Threads" series in 2027.

Julia holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Brock University and a certificate in human resources management from Mohawk College.
