Rich got his start in the restaurant business, working his way up the ranks from dishwasher food prep to line expediter in a range of New England restaurants before switching to writing. Over the past two plus decades his work has appeared in a variety of publications and on websites such as Smart Computing Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, Woman’s Day,, and more. He is also a fiction writer and a prolific screenwriter — his scripts have won at festivals such as the Omaha Film Festival, Phoenix Film Festival, and the deadCenter Film Festival.


Attended Long Island University, Southampton, majoring in Creative Writing and Political Science.
