You Can Now Buy TikTok's Viral Pink Sauce At Walmart

The internet just gravitates towards pink-colored food items, as evident from the Starbucks pink drink which became viral in 2016 (via Digiday). Arguably, the same hype has recently spread to another pink item — the Original Pink Sauce by Chef Pii. Chef Pii, who calls herself "The Flavor Genie" on Instagram, introduced this sauce on TikTok in June 2022, where she posted a video in which she dipped a chicken drumstick into a bright pink mixture.

While some people were drawn to the unique hue of the sauce, while others were a bit alarmed regarding its color. This concern only escalated when people noticed multiple inconsistencies within the product, ranging from the differences in color between bottles and the word "vinegar" being misspelled (via Fox 26). However, Chef Pii addressed these worries, stating that these issues were only in the prototype rendition of the product, and these errors would be fixed when it eventually went out for sale later that summer.

And while some people remained skeptical about the sauce, others were willing to give it a try, with Dave's Gourmet even forming a partnership with Chef Pii to help with production and distribution. And now, this special sauce just became even more widely available.

Pink Sauce is available at Walmart

Dave's Gourmet Pink Sauce just landed in Walmart, which Chef Pii announced herself via an Instagram post. According to TODAY, the pink sauce is currently arriving for sale in 4,300 stores across the country, as well as on its website.

When wandering through the aisle, the sauce isn't too hard to spot. Its distinct pink color contains dragon fruit puree, coconut cream, and ranch flavor, according to its website. This makes it sweet, creamy, and tangy all at the same time, which is why Chef Pii deemed it the perfect sauce for a variety of dishes, from chicken wings to hamburgers.

From the picture Chef Pii posted on Instagram, the pink sauce will also be sold in a pourable container, versus the squeezable one it was sold in during its early days. Another change is that the sauce will be sold for $7.78 at Walmart, which is a drastic decrease from its original listing of $20 when it was first launched (via VegNews).
