Netflix's New Restaurant Will Bring Your Food Show Faves IRL

We've been enjoying Netflix's services since 1997, be it via mail-rental DVDs, Netflix originals streamed online, or both. However, for all the entertainment Netflix has brought people over the years, the company only recently decided to venture into the restaurant realm.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix is opening a themed restaurant at the end of June, albeit a temporary pop-up location in Los Angeles. The restaurant, aptly named Netflix Bites, is set to feature chefs and mixologists straight from Netflix shows like "Iron Chef," "Chef's Table," "Nailed It," and "Drink Masters."

Due to Netflix Bites' pop-up nature, the restaurant does require reservations, which are available on the Resy Los Angeles website. You can book a table any time between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m., Monday through Sunday, or for brunch between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Reservations require a deposit of $25 per person. Per the pop-up restaurant's calendar, Netflix Bites will only be open from June 30 through July 12.

What else can we expect from Netflix Bites?

Unfortunately, the Netflix Bites menu has yet to be released, but we can venture a few guesses. Considering the chef lineup, which includes the likes of Dominique Crenn, Nadiya Hussain, Ann Kim, Andrew Zimmern, and Ming Tsai, it's not unreasonable to expect a wide range of dishes. Think global: pizza, desserts, BBQ, French cuisine, and Asian fusion, which all speak to the chefs' collective wealth of experience. Outside of a meal worthy of "Iron Chef," a variety of unique cocktails will be created from the minds of mixologists Frankie Solarik, Julie Reiner, LP O'Brien, and Kate Gerwin. After all, an upscale meal wouldn't be complete without drinks showcasing the culinary approaches of "Drink Masters."

That said, dinner at Netflix Bites wouldn't be an authentic fan experience without offering something extra to binge. Although diners won't be able to meet the chefs personally, the restaurant promises to be immersive by serving carefully crafted dishes inspired by popular Netflix cooking shows.

Netflix is likely keeping tight-lipped about the surprises it has in store for pop-up patrons. However, the company is known for going all-out with its live events, such as the cinematic "Stranger Things" event, which pulled fans into their own interactive episode of the show. For foodies, a meal at Netflix Bites ought to be memorable and delicious, should you get the chance to visit.
