The New Sam's Club Chips That Have Everyone Talking

We could wax lyrical about how great guacamole is all day. It's relatively simple and inexpensive to make, and you don't need a lot of ingredients. Yet, somehow, with a few mashed avocados and a short list of other components, you get a creamy dip that has zesty notes from lime, a pleasant crunch from diced onions, a kick from jalapeño, and added savoriness from herbs like cilantro or even secret ingredients like this one. Of course, your guacamole will taste different depending on what you put in it (everyone has their own favorite recipe), but it's one of those dishes that is almost always yummy — no matter what sort of extra ingredients or special touches you add to it.

But imagine a world where, instead of dipping chips into your guacamole, you could eat chips that were already guac-flavored? Wouldn't that be wonderful?

Well, congrats, that's the world you're living in. Delish recently raved about something it discovered on Instagram: El Sabroso Guacachips, tortilla chips that taste like guacamole. While these chips are not a brand-new product in the retail market, the realization that they're now on sale at Sam's Club is a cause for joy. You can get a 20-ounce bag of Guacachips at the warehouse chain for $3.98. Yes, please!

What do the new Sam's Club chips taste like?

According to Snak King, the producer of the Guacachips, the snack combines the taste of savory corn with the "buttery, rich flavor of ripe avocados," resulting in delicious bites that make for a "zesty and unique taste experience." That sounds pretty fantastic to us.

The guacamole-based tortilla chips get their flavor from a mix of different ingredients, including cheddar cheese powder, garlic powder, onion powder, sour cream powder, avocado powder, yeast extract, buttermilk powder, and parsley flakes. A 1-ounce serving contains 140 calories as well as 2 grams of protein, 7 grams of fat, and 18 grams of carbohydrates (which includes 1 gram of dietary fiber).

You can get the guacamole taste you know and love when munching on these chips, but what goes perfectly with guacamole-flavored chips? More guacamole. Feel free to scoop more avocado-ey goodness onto these tortilla chips. And if you're missing the taste of salsa, you're in luck. Snak King also has Salsitas in its El Sabroso line. These tortilla chips are flavored with mildly spicy salsa. Sounds like (another) match made in heaven.
