For many of us, breakfast is the most skipped meal of the day. But one look at Aldi's bakery aisle can change that. The grocery chain is known for its wallet-friendly prices, cult-favorite seasonal finds, popular frozen finds — and a surprisingly delicious and impressive bakery selection. From buttery, flaky bites to sweet, sugar-dusted treats, Aldi's breakfast pastries make eating in the mornings faster and tastier — all without shelling out a lot of dough (though the prices may vary nationwide).

But it can be hard to determine what deserves a permanent spot in your breakfast routine. That's why Mashed selected five of the best breakfast pastries from Aldi that shoppers have been raving about on social media. Whether you're trying a new pastry, love indulging in seasonal treats, or need to stock up for your weekend brunch gathering, Aldi has an assortment of delectable goods. So toss one (or several) of these tasty breakfast options into your cart on your next shopping trip.

Bake Shop Cinnamon Rolls

There's something so nostalgic about biting into a cinnamon roll oozing with icing for breakfast. It brings back memories of simpler times and longer mornings without endless things to do. The grocer's Bake Shop Cinnamon Rolls let us indulge in those sweet remembrances. Coated in a cinnamon-sugar flavor with a soft, fluffy, cinnamon-spiced roll, they are the ultimate breakfast treat.

And customers rave about them. "They are so good and such an addiction," said one commenter in the Aldi Aisle of Shame Community Facebook group. "They are super moist and lots of cinnamon flavor. Heat up in the microwave with a little bit of butter, and you will be hooked!" Some are even saying these cinnamon rolls are the closest you can get to homemade. Pair one with your favorite cup of coffee or tea. An eight-pack costs $4.29.

Bake Shop Apple Fritters

Although it's a seasonal treat, many shoppers consider Bake Shop Apple Fritters one of Aldi's best fall pastries. "They were the best," said one reviewer in the Aldi Aisle of Shame Community group on Facebook. "Actual pieces of apple and the price was right!" The deep-fried treat is baked until golden brown, coated in a sugary glaze and filled with chunks of apple. Pair one with some apple butter and your morning cup of coffee or hot apple cider to enjoy all the tastes of fall. While perfect as a breakfast treat, the apple fritters are a limited-time offering, so stock up before they disappear from shelves until next season. A pack of four costs $4.39.

Racine Danish Almond Kringle

A laminated dough shaped into an oval ring, the kringle is usually topped with icing and filled with preserves, nuts, and fruit. Aldi's flaky, buttery version is filled with almond paste, drizzled with vanilla icing, and sprinkled with a hefty amount of toasted, sliced almonds.

And shoppers are crazy for this kringle. "Omg, the almond kringle blew my mind!" said one Reddit commenter. "I've tried the raspberry in the past and, while I liked it, it's nothing I clamor for when I see it. The almond kringle, though? I [ate] like a third of it the first day I got it...I'm pretty sure the flavor hijacked my brain." An Aldi employee in another thread said they sell out every year. "Last year, we couldn't stock these fast enough. This year, they sold at the speed of smell," they said. Racine Danish Kringles supplies these pastries to the grocer, and it's one of the company's best-selling flavors every year. A 14-ounce almond kringle costs $7.99.

L'oven Fresh Pains au Chocolat

You don't need a passport to France to enjoy French pastry for breakfast. Aldi sells these L'oven Fresh Pains au Chocolat, which combine sweet brioche rolls stuffed with two bars of rich chocolate. Made with wheat dough and vegetable oil instead of butter, they're softer and doughy rather than flaky. Shoppers seem to be enjoying this French treat year after year. "I absolutely love these Pains au Chocolat from the baked goods aisle at Aldi!" said one commenter in the Aldi Aisle of Shame Community on Facebook. "They are a favorite for everyone else in my family too...my husband likes them heated up a bit in the toaster before eating. Had to have one right away once I got in the car!" The pastries are sold under L'oven Fresh, an Aldi-exclusive private label brand. A package of eight rolls costs $5.49.

Specially Selected Lemon Mascarpone Strudel

A breakfast pastry list wouldn't be complete without mentioning strudel. Aldi's private-label lemon mascarpone strudel has soared in popularity with shoppers. "I just made the lemon strudel last evening for dessert, and it is so good and was even better this morning with coffee," said one customer in the Aldi Aisle of Shame Community Facebook group. "I was telling hubs it was even better the next day and he did not answer me. I turned around to see him at the counter eating a big piece and smiling." Sold in the store's frozen section, the strudel combines flaky puff pastry that's filled with a tart lemon curd and creamy mascarpone cheese. Warm it up in the oven or air fryer, and enjoy it in the morning with coffee or tea. The strudel is imported from Germany, and a 21-ounce package costs $4.75.
