National Pizza Month 2020: Where To Get Freebies And Deals
Pizza is a wonderful food, beloved by almost everyone, so it makes a lot of sense to us that the crowd-pleasing dish gets an entire month-long celebration rather than just a single day. If you haven't already guessed it at this point, then you should know that October is National Pizza Month! We think there's no better choice of foods to celebrate during the spookiest month either, since there's plenty of scary movie nights (and of course one specific night filled with candy) that are perfectly started or polished off with a slice or three. Besides, garlic helps keep the vampires away, right?
Though there are surely more deals to come, we're here to tell you there are already several ways you can take advantage of this year's pizza month celebrations. Some deals don't even involve pizza, but instead focus on the order add-ons also offered at pizza shops. Little Caesars, for example, is giving away one free two-liter bottle of Pepsi when you buy any of their pizzas and use the code "FREE2L3C" and Domino's is lowering the price of their 10-piece "new-and-improved" Buffalo wings to just $7.99 for those looking to switch up their usual pizza order (via Thrillist), but if it's deals on pizza you're looking for, then you'll have to turn to other purveyors instead.
These pizza chains have announced major deals for National Pizza Month
Pizza Hut is offering two deals in honor of National Pizza Month this October. The chain is selling their large three-topping pizza for just $9.99, either for delivery or pickup, as well as a deal for two medium one-topping pizzas for $12.99 thanks to the new Double it Box. Papa John's on the other hand is selling the Shaq-a-Roni pizza, an extra large, extra pepperoni, and extra cheese pizza, for just $12 all month long.
If Marco's Pizza is your go-to, then you can use the code "MED699" to get a medium one-topping pizza for only $6.99, though Thrillist states this is a limited time offer. One casual pizza chain always worth checking-in on is California Pizza Kitchen. The California-style pizza purveyors are offering their new Lunch Box delivery deal for $20 or less, which includes one adult and one kid entrée. This deal will only run through mid-October.
Those lucky enough to live near Oath Pizza can get free delivery every Monday and Tuesday throughout the entire month of October. Oath customers can use the code PIZZAMONTH on both the Oath Pizza website and mobile app to make their order appear on their doorstep for free. Don't forget to tip your driver!
Papa Murphy's is offering three lucky winners the deal of a lifetime for National Pizza Month
If you are a true lover of pizza, a pizza connoisseur if you will, then chances are you might not believe in the power of frozen pizza — but just hear us out. Frozen pizza can be a great option for those nights when you don't feel like cooking, or you just need something quick and can't wait for (or afford) delivery. Though we think frozen is a totally acceptable way to get your pizza fix, take and bake pizza company Papa Murphy's would disagree.
According to a press release sent to Mashed, the brand is celebrating National Pizza Month 2020 with a laugh at the expense of the frozen pizza market and a contest to "Search for America's Oldest Frozen Pizza." Those who follow the brand on Twitter and share a photo or video of their oldest frozen pizza, tagging the brand and using the hashtags #pizzaexchange and #sweepstakes by October 8th, will be entered into the running to win quite a prize. Three winners will get a new freezer, stocked with the most important freezer foods (according to a consumer survey): meat, ice cream, and vegetables. Not only will they receive a new appliance full of these staples, but they'll also get a year's supply of Papa Murphy's fresh-made, never-frozen pizza.
Celebrate National Pizza Month on your schedule with frozen pizza
If you aren't fortunate enough win a year's supply of pizza, you can always turn to UNO Pizzeria & Grill. Thrillist states the restaurant chain is offering diners a free appetizer when you sign up for their Insider's Club. Their pizzas are now also available frozen and for delivery through a partnership with premium food and gift retailers Harry & David. Customers who would like to order Pizzeria Uno products to enjoy later can go to the Harry & David website to choose between six Deep-Dish pizza options, including Veggie Lover's, Meat Lover's, and Original in mix and match varieties. The pizzas arrive frozen and are ready to heat and serve, according to a press release received by Mashed.
