Everything You Need To Know About Trader Joe's Gingerbread Cream Liqueur

The Christmas tree is up and cookies are baked. There's only one thing left to complete this holiday scene, and that's gingerbread cream liqueur. Wait, what? Yep. Why choose a gingerbread cookie, when you can pour yourself a glass of creamy, 14.75 percent ABV gingerbread liqueur (responsibly, of course)? This new offering from Trader Joe's combines all of the warm and fuzzy gingerbread spices you love with vodka and cream, according to PopSugar.

The new Gingerbread Cream Liqueur was created much the same way as Trader Joe's popular Egg Nog Liqueur and Hot Cocoa Liqueur, according to Trader Joe's website, by adding flavorful ingredients to a neutral grain spirit. The company says that while the Gingerbread Cream Liqueur is great on its own, it's also delicious warmed, over ice, combined with hot or iced coffee, or even over vanilla ice cream. Each 750 mL bottle sells for around $7.99 at any Trader Joe's that carries wine.

Why everyone is talking about Trader Joe's gingerbread cream liqueur

On Instagram, @traderjoesgeek showed off the seasonal liqueur offerings at Trader Joe's, including the new Gingerbread Cream Liqueur, asking if people would "buy" or "bye." Most people wanted the new beverage, but many said they lived in a state where their Trader Joe's couldn't sell alcohol, unfortunately. Since customers are always asking which stores are permitted to sell alcohol, Trader Joe's created a list that identifies all of its stores, and what type of alcohol, if any, is sold there. A more current list, with additional store information, can be found on the store locations page.

Trader Joe's fans on Reddit are excited to try the Gingerbread Cream Liqueur over ice, in their coffee, and in hot chocolate. One fan even mentioned being tempted to run this tasty beverage through an ice cream maker. We don't hate that idea. So grab your ugliest sweater, plug in the Christmas tree lights, pour a glass of Gingerbread Cream Liqueur, and snuggle up for yet another cheesy Christmas movie.
