The Celebrity Chef Mary Berry Isn't A Fan Of

Mary Berry is one of those famous figures a lot of people would love to have a cuppa with (with a side of fluffy scones, of course). The Great British Baking Show judge is known for her posh English accent and love of all things sugary sweet, as much as she's known for her culinary prowess. Having judged the popular baking show for seven seasons, Berry knows more than a thing or two about what makes a great dish — and more importantly, what makes a great chef.

That being said, compared to her Great British Baking Show co-judge Paul Hollywood, Berry was always the "good cop" of the two, doling out compliments and gently-put constructive criticism to contestants. So it may come as a surprise to learn that the beloved Brit has a few people on her bad side. Or rather, a few people she isn't too fond of. One of those? One of Europe's most famous chefs. Here's who Berry could do without.

He's a hell of a cook

Turns out Berry isn't so star struck by Gordon Ramsay. It makes sense given how different the two cooks are: Berry is polite and soft-spoken, while Ramsay is crude and loud. The British chef is infamous for his foul language and harsh treatment of contestants on his popular cooking competitions, Hell's Kitchen and MasterChef. While Ramsay has certainly had outrageous success with his shows and has garnered plenty of fans around the world, Berry definitely isn't one of them.

"I hate Gordon Ramsay's programmes: I don't know if he's been told it makes good television," she confessed in an interview with The Guardian. Berry went on to describe Gordon's shows as "violent, cruel, and noisy." However, Ramsay isn't so sure that Berry doesn't have a bit of a dark side herself. After hearing what Berry has been saying about him, Ramsay told the Sun, "It's a bit hypocritical. I think Mary Berry's a bit like the queen — when they swear they do it under their breath."
