Over Half Of All Burger King Fans Want This Nugget Shape To Come Back
Burger King is a large restaurant chain that's managed to become a dominant force in the fast food industry. According to the brand's website, Burger King is so popular that over 11 million fans visit its restaurants every single day globally. A description on the brand's website reads, "Founded in 1954, Burger King is the second largest fast food hamburger chain in the world."
To its credit, Burger King hasn't been afraid of innovating over the years. For example, it once introduced a popular side snack called Cheesy Tots that was loved by fans (via Eat This, Not That!). There was even a petition online to get the brand to reintroduce the item in its stores. Whoa!
Another item that's appealed to a swatch of Burger King fans? Its crown nuggets. For those who don't recall, these bite-sized chicken nuggets were popular on account of their unusual shape. Of course, fans now want Burger King to bring back this iconic item.
Fans are intrigued by the crown nuggets
Burger King posted a survey recently on Twitter, asking its customers whether they'd like to bring their crown nuggets back. In response, 56 percent of the respondents said that they'd like to see the product return to restaurants. And of that percentage, plenty of Burger King fans were emphatic about their appreciation of the menu offering.
One customer expressed nostalgia for the product and wrote, "This is crazy. I was just talking about these to my friend two days ago. I loved getting the crown nuggets when I was a kid." Another fan had nothing but good things to say about the nuggets. Those crown nuggets were amazing," they shared. "Regular shaped nuggets just can't compare in taste." They added that it was disappointing to find out that Burger King had decided to discontinue the menu item years ago and would love to see it return to the fast food restaurant.
