The Restaurant With The Worst Signature Sauce, According To 35% Of People

Fans of fast food likely have one or two stops that they favor over others. Whether it's the joint's chicken sandwich, French fries, a burger, or tacos, there seems to be something that keeps fans coming back. As it turns out, it's likely not because of the brand's sauce. In a recent survey conducted by Mashed, 658 people responded to which chain has the worst signature sauce. The options included In-N-Out, Taco Bell, Raising Cane's, Zaxby's, and Chick-fil-A. Of course, the two eateries with the biggest followings, fared the best in the survey.

Only 10 percent of people voted for In-N-Out, which means people liked their sauce the most. Chick-fil-A was the second most-liked with 14 percent of the vote. The other fast food companies didn't fare as well and clearly have the sauces that folks aren't wild about. Though In-N-Out beat Chick-fil-A with only eight fewer votes for the best, or least-bad sauce, Chick-fil-A is certainly capitalizing on its fans' love of their sauces, which is why you can actually buy bottles of it at grocery stores these days.

In third place was chicken finger restaurant, Raising Cane's, with 17 percent of the vote. That means 114 people felt that Raising Cane's had the worst sauce, though the last two options held more than 50 percent of the votes, combined. The second to last, or second to worst, sauce came from Zaxby's. The fried chicken chain received 22 percent of the vote, which means nearly one-quarter of people voted against Zaxby's signature sauce.

Finally, the chain with the worst sauce was Taco Bell with 35 percent. The packaging just might be the best, but customers felt other chains had much better signature sauces. However, whether you like the chains' sauces or not, you can always just leave your food free of any dipping or topping sauces. You can also just stick to ketchup or bring your own sauce if you are really desperate.
