The Food Rule Kim Kardashian Swears By

Kim Kardashian is a reality TV celebrity, entrepreneur, and law student. Kardashian, who is officially a billionaire, according to Forbes, has earned much of her money through her KKW Beauty line and SKIMS shape wear line, along with her many endorsement deals and television show. Much of the celebrity's image is based on appearance, with Vogue calling her a "fashion icon." 

To stay healthy, Kardashian tries to eat healthy. The celebrity rarely drinks and is frequently seen eating salads on her television show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." People even did a rundown of all the salads Kardashian and her sisters ordered at their favorite restaurant, Health Nut, in California's San Fernando Valley. 

With so much of her life in the spotlight, Kardashian shared her food rule with People. "When it comes to food, I try to be as clean as possible," the celebrity said. Kardashian credits her trainer for guidance with how to choose what foods to eat. "My trainer, Mel, always says that if it doesn't grow in the soil, you shouldn't eat it, so I try to stick to that rule." But, of course, there are exceptions to every rule.

Kim Kardashian eats healthy... most of the time

It seems that Kim Kardashian adheres to her trainer's rule when it comes to filling up her pantry and fridge with nutritious ingredients for mealtime. People shared the celebrity's grocery list, which was filled with healthy items. 

Kardashian shops for various fruits and vegetables including, "broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, kale, edamame, spinach, zucchini, green beans, black beans, carrots, peas, peppers, avocado, bananas, apples, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and coconut." The omnivore also stocks up on tuna, salmon, cod, venison, chicken, and lean beef. She also chooses carbs like quinoa, couscous, sweet potatoes, red potatoes, and rice. 

Though the celebrity loves to eat healthy, she does have her cheat meals. Both Kim and her sister, Khloe love to indulge in some Kentucky Fried Chicken. And, although Khloe sticks to grilled chicken at the fast food chain, Kim likes to order fried chicken and a biscuit with honey. Like most of us, Kim is also a fan of ice cream. Her favorites include Ben and Jerry's Mint Chocolate Cookie, along with Haagen-Dazs' Dulce de Leche. The celeb-turned-entrepreneur is so passionate about her Dulce de Leche ice cream, in fact, she once declared it her "favorite thing in life" in a 2015 interview with Harper's Bazaar

Us Magazine reports that Kardashian also loves ramen and Eggo waffles and schedules her cheat meals about every ten days or so. "This way you won't lose any of the progress you've made at the gym," she said. Worth it!
