Qdoba Added 4 New Toppings To Its Menu. Here's What You Need To Know

Do you love tacos, burritos, and fajitas? A better question might be: who doesn't? Most of us are stoked on Mexican food, including the Mexican-American cuisine you find at the likes of Taco Bell, Chipotle, and Qdoba. While the fare served at these chains is far from authentic, it does fulfill that type of craving that can only be satisfied by flour tortillas and pre-grated cheese.

Qdoba got its start in Denver, Colorado in 1995. Often compared to Chipotle, Qdoba actually offers a more expansive menu than its competitor, with nachos and quesadillas taking their place alongside some of the items the chains have in common, such as burritos and burrito bowls, tacos, and salads (via Qdoba). Qdoba is particularly known for its queso, which the chain started serving before Chipotle did. Soon, customers will have even more tasty options to choose from — the chain recently announced four new condiment additions to its menu (via Twitter). If you're a fan of the Q, read on to find out which new sauces you can now add to your favorite lunch order.

Jalapeños, onions, and chiles, oh my!

On its Twitter page, Qdoba recently announced the launch of four new condiments that can be added for free to any of the chain's entrées.

"Welcome to a more flavorful world. Try our new sauces, salsas and toppings now," the tweet read.

So what's on deck? Jalapeño verde salsa, pickled red onions, chile crema, and roasted tomato salsa. If you like spicy, you might want to go for the jalapeño salsa, which the chain describes as "vibrant." Into acidic? Try the onions, which Qdoba calls "bright & tangy." If you want something creamy in your burrito, the "smoky" chile crema just might be for you. And for a more mild option, there's always that "classic" roasted tomato salsa.

These condiment options can be added into any of Qdoba's burritos, bowls, tacos, and more. And judging from the response on Twitter, loyal fans are already hooked on the new additions. In response to Qdoba's saucy announcement, @jenlmccann wrote, "For real @qdoba – you need to BOTTLE that jalapeño verde sauce! I am addicted already!!!"
